Many couples have all sorts of questions about coronavirus and weddings. And we’re really concerned on how worried couples are and hopefully these simple tips help on managing Wedding Anxiety and instead look forward to having the best day when it is finally here;
Feel the emotions; It is very OK and natural to be upset,worried and have all sorts of emotions right now if you have had to post pone or your wedding already or if you’re still figuring out how the pandemic is going to affect your wedding in months to come. So let yourself feel the emotions. It is the first step in managing the anxiety.
Seek Counsel; Sharing your fears and feelings with your partner or a close friend or family member will create a sigh of relief. This should be someone whose judgement you trust and have helped you out in problem solving in the past. Remember a problem shared,is half solved.
Focus on the Main Issues that you can control. Discuss with your partner the main issues at stake as a result of the pandemic and you have control over to see how to go about them. This will influence all your planning and decision making. Do not put effort on anything beyond your control as this will just cause frustration.
Make a plan; There is so much relief in making a well thought decision to help you have a plan B. It could be postponing,cutting your guest list to suit the current measures,etc. Of course at the moment,things are not stable and all plans are subject to change anytime,but having Plan B helps you move forward.
Limit your social media Engagement and communication in general;To some people social media and active communication is a good way to get distraction from the bad emotions from what is going on but it can also lead to so much negativity and bitterness and once it gets to this,please step away and come back to it when you feel you can handle it.
Try to Limit the Wedding Discussion whenever possible; If all conversations are still centered on it, it may invade too much on your mental space. So try to keep your social interactions with family and friends away from the Wedding talk and instead focus on other things.
Keep yourself busy and occupied; You need to relax and engage in a fun activity or exercise to restore your peace and calm as you go through all this uncertainty. You could also engage in self care activities like massage,facial,listen to your favorite music,etc. Get time off to escape from the all worries.
Conclusion; The second wave of the pandemic is upon us and a lot is at stake including Weddings. Managing Coronavirus Wedding anxiety is key and if cancelling is the only option for you,find the enthusiasm you had in the beginning to plan after rescheduling and look at it as a chance to make a few changes to make your Wedding day even a memorable one.
Planning for November 2021 on wards or pushing to 2022 would otherwise be good idea for your event especially those looking at above 200pax.
