Mistakes are part of our day today personal lives but Wedding Planning mistakes are so costly and regrettable since they may give no chance for correction and remember your Wedding day comes once. We found it thoughtful to share so that Wedding Planners and those Planning to get married can take extra caution;
Not Getting started Early; This is one of the commonest Wedding planning mistakes you should avoid because it can cause alot of other problems down the lane. As soon as you select the date for your event,you should get to work and organize yourself with a checklist. Most Wedding venues are booked a year in advance so you need to secure a Venue as soon as possible otherwise, your choice is going to be limited and you might end up with whatever is available and not your preferred choice.
Not Confirming Vendors. Consulting and confirming with the vendor are two different things. Confirm with each vendor and sign a contract so that you hold them responsible and clearly understand the services they are to provide. The best Wedding Service providers book multiple events and it is easy to forget,every one wants the best photographer,decorator,makeup artist etc. So you need to confirm with them twice. First time booking and again prior to your event and provide clear details of date,time,venue and any other relevant information.
Not Hiring Professional Vendors; This might cost you more money but it will save your special day. All your vendors must be on the same page and handle logistics like pros.Clearly discuss with them your expectations and who their contact is in case they have a query or problem. They will always be indebted to deliver to their best unlike non-professionals. This will give you a good experience and quality service for both you and your guests. Imagine a non-trained usher who gets into a sour exchange with your guest or a Photographer who will miss out on your reception because his camera got faulty!
Noting having an a Back up plan / “Plan B”;Unusual circumstances can happen in at any time. You should plan ahead for example,power outages can be handled by having a generator,overflow parking can be moved a prearranged location,rain dates should be planned in an indoor location,etc. By planning ahead,you save yourself stress and ruining your special day.
Conclusion; Planning your Wedding is all about getting organized and getting things in shape right away. This will help you enjoy the process and make it a memorable one.
